Common Questions
What does an oil fire valve do?
It shuts the oil supply automatically if there is a fire at the boiler, so the tank cannot keep feeding it.
Remote acting or fusible head?
A remote acting valve has a sensor over the burner on a capillary, with the valve outside the building. A fusible head valve closes when a link melts in the heat.
What capillary length do I need?
Measure the route from where the valve will go to the sensor position above the burner and add a bit for neat bends.
