McAlpine Condensation Trap 110mm

The McAlpine Condensation Trap is part of the McAlpine Pushfit Traps range, available in 3 versions: 110mm (CONTRAP1), 125mm (CONTRAP2), 160mm (CONTRAP3). It suits plumbers, installers and homeowners carrying out new work or a straight replacement.

Common Questions

Which trap size do I need for a basin, bath or sink?
Basins normally take a 1¼” (32mm) trap, while baths, showers and kitchen sinks normally take 1½” (40mm). Match the trap to the waste outlet and to the size of your waste pipe.

What water seal depth should I choose?
A 75mm seal is the usual choice for basins and sinks. Shallower 50mm or 38mm seals are made for baths and shower trays where there is little room under the outlet.

Do I need tools or PTFE tape to fit a plastic trap?
No. Plastic traps seal on their own washers and are tightened by hand, so tape and spanners are not needed and can split the nut.
