That is about as much cover as anyone puts on a pipe this small, so it goes on the runs that really suffer, such as a cold feed crossing an unheated loft or a chilled line that drips.

Using Armaflex Class O Pipe Insulation 15mm x 25mm

Most houses are plumbed mainly in 15mm, so the bore is the easy part. The thick wall is the real choice. Pick it if the pipe sits in a draughty void, an outside wall or a garage where frost bites. Because the cells are sealed, damp has a hard job getting into the foam, which is why it copes with cold pipes better than open-cell lagging.

Use it on chilled water or air conditioning lines where condensation must be stopped, and on very exposed cold pipes. It is the thickest wall listed for 15mm.

Will 15mm x 25mm Armaflex bend round a corner?

A 25mm wall is stiff, so cut mitred pieces and glue them at each corner instead of bending the tube. Forced bends open up the seams and let moisture in.
