EPH CombiPack 4 (CP4) wireless programmable room thermostat and receiver for one heating zone, with OpenTherm, Optimum Start and TPI. In Stock to collect from 555 South Street, Glasgow G14 0QX.
The EPH CombiPack 4 is a wireless programmable room thermostat with a plug-in receiver, made to control one heating zone on a combi or system boiler. We keep it In Stock at our South Street counter in Glasgow for heating engineers and homeowners replacing an old dial stat or adding proper time and temperature control.
The thermostat runs on two AA batteries and talks to the receiver by radio, so there is no cable to run back to the boiler. The receiver wires in beside the boiler and can switch mains voltage, switch low voltage, or connect to an OpenTherm boiler so the boiler turns its flame up and down to suit the room instead of just switching on and off. It also offers Optimum Start and TPI control, which helps the CombiPack 4 meet Boiler Plus rules on a new combi installation.
On the job, check whether the boiler has OpenTherm before you wire it, as that gives the best results. Fit the thermostat on an inside wall about one and a half metres up, away from radiators, sunlight and draughts. The receiver comes paired to the stat out of the box.
