The ESi Zone Valve opens and closes a heating or hot water circuit when the programmer or room thermostat calls for heat. We sell it as 2 Port x 22mm, 2 Port x 22mm Pre-Plumb, 2 Port x 28mm and 3 Port x 22mm, plus the 2 port replacement head. The 22mm 2 port is the one most houses need, and the pre-plumb version has a plug on the end of the cable to suit a cylinder with a pre-plumbed wiring centre.
The 2 port valves are spring return, so they close when the power goes off, and a manual lever holds them open for filling and draining. The 3 port is a mid position valve for a Y plan system. The head clips off the brass body, so a dead head can be swapped without draining down. ESi say the head also fits the market leading valve bodies using the two screws supplied.
The valve runs on mains voltage, so isolate the supply and wire it to the system diagram, or have a competent electrician or heating engineer do it.

Common Questions
Do I need a 2 port or a 3 port valve?
Go by the system you have. Separate valves on the heating and hot water legs is an S plan, so 2 port. One valve where the flow splits is a Y plan, so 3 port mid position.
What is the pre-plumb valve for?
The ESZV222PM has a plug on the end of its cable, so it plugs straight into a cylinder that comes with a pre-plumbed wiring centre instead of being wired into a junction box.
