Ever Build Cotton Dust Sheet 12X9

An Ever Build Cotton Dust Sheet 12×9 is a large woven cotton cover that protects carpets, floors and furniture while you work. Lay it down before the tools come out, and lift it at the end with the dust and debris inside.

Why a cotton dust sheet earns its keep

Customers notice a tidy job. A cotton sheet soaks up small drips when you take a radiator off or drain a valve, and it does not slide about underfoot the way thin plastic can. It folds up small for the van and goes through the wash, so one sheet lasts a long time. It also covers sofas and beds when you are working nearby.

Common Questions

Can a cotton dust sheet be washed?

Yes. Shake out loose dust outside first, then put it through a normal wash. It will soften with use, which makes it lie flatter on floors.

Is a cotton dust sheet better than a plastic one?

Cotton grips the floor and soaks up small drips, so it is safer to walk on. Plastic stops water reaching the carpet, which is why many fitters use both together.

What does 12×9 mean on a dust sheet?

It is the sheet size in feet, so roughly enough to cover a small room floor or a large sofa with spare to tuck in. Measure the room first if you need full floor cover.

Tips from our Glasgow counter

Cotton is absorbent, but it is not waterproof. For a big drain-down or heavy spills, lay a polythene sheet first and put the cotton sheet on top. That way the plastic keeps water off the carpet and the cotton gives you a non-slip, absorbent surface. Shake it out well away from the customer’s garden and the stair close, and wash it once it is grubby.

The Ever Build Cotton Dust Sheet 12X9 is listed in our accessories category, with the polythene version.
