Honeywell T4R 7 Day Programmable Wireless Thermostat

With the Honeywell T4R 7 Day Programmable Wireless Thermostat, there is no cable to run from the boiler to the living room. The thermostat talks to a receiver box wired in near the boiler, so it is a tidy choice when the decorating is already done.

Fitting the Honeywell T4R 7 Day Programmable Wireless Thermostat

The receiver box is the part you wire. It switches the boiler or zone valve, and it handles 24V to 230V on/off appliances such as gas boilers, combis and zone valves. The thermostat itself can then go wherever the room reading is best. For example, on an inside wall away from the radiator and the front door.

• Wireless room thermostat with receiver box
• 7 day, 5/2 or single day programmes
• Four or six time and temperature settings
• Optimum start and delayed start
• Adjustable frost protection

Optimum start learns how long the house takes to heat, so the room is warm at the time set, not just when the boiler comes on. That means less wasted gas on mild mornings. It is also well suited to an extra zone on an S plan plus system. Before fixing the room unit, test the signal from where you want to mount it.

Common Questions

How does a wireless room thermostat work?

The thermostat on the wall sends a radio signal to a receiver box wired in near the boiler. The receiver then switches the boiler or zone valve.

Where should I put the T4R thermostat?

Pick an inside wall in the main living area, away from radiators, sunny windows and outside doors. Test the signal before fixing it.

Is the receiver box hard to wire?

It is wired like a standard room stat, but to mains voltage on many boilers. Isolate the supply and have it fitted by a competent person.
