The JG Speedfit 15mm x 1/2″ Angled Tap Connector is a white plastic push-fit connector with a 1/2 inch BSP union nut and a 15mm socket at 90 degrees, for basin and sink taps on hot and cold water up to 65°C. Collect from our Glasgow shop at 555 South Street G14 0QX.
The JG Speedfit 15mm x 1/2″ Angled Tap Connector has a 1/2 inch BSP union nut for the tap tail and a 15mm push-fit socket set at right angles. It’s for plumbers and DIY fitters where the supply pipe comes in from the side or along the back of a unit, not straight up.
Half inch tails are found on most basin taps and many kitchen sink taps. Under a vanity unit or sink base there’s rarely room for a nice offset, so the bend built into this connector keeps the pipe tidy and saves an elbow. The nut turns on its own, so you can line the socket up with the pipe before tightening.
It goes on to 15mm copper as it is, or Speedfit barrier pipe with a 15mm insert, pushed in to the 30mm stop. It’s listed for hot and cold water up to 65°C. Confirm the tail size first, as bath taps are usually 3/4 inch and take a different connector. Start the nut by hand, don’t overtighten, and clip the pipe so it doesn’t pull on the JG Speedfit 15mm x 1/2″ Angled Tap Connector. The straight versions are in our JG Speedfit fittings and pipe section.

Common Questions
Which taps take a 1/2 inch connector? Most basin and kitchen sink taps have 1/2 inch tails. Bath taps are usually 3/4 inch. Monobloc mixers often have flexible tails instead, so check what’s under the tap.
Straight or angled: which do I need? If the pipe comes straight up under the tap, use the straight connector. If it runs in from the side or the back, the JG Speedfit 15mm x 1/2″ Angled Tap Connector saves fitting a separate elbow.
Do I need an insert with this fitting? On Speedfit plastic barrier pipe, yes: push a 15mm Speedfit insert fully into each cut end before it goes in. Copper tube needs no insert. Speedfit only want their inserts used in their own pipe.
How do you take a Speedfit fitting off the pipe? Take the pressure off the system first. Turn the locking cap back until there’s a small gap at the body, press the collet ring evenly in towards the body and keep it held while you draw the pipe out. The fitting can go back on with no new parts.
