McAlpine Drain Connector 4 inch | DC1-BL

The McAlpine DC1-BL is a black drain connector for joining 110mm soil pipe to an existing drain. It comes in one size, 4″/110mm. This 110mm drain connector suits plumbers, builders and bathroom fitters running a new soil stack or WC branch into an old drain socket.

The spigot end has a finned seal that pushes into a 4″/110mm cast iron, plastic or clay drain. The top is an O seal socket that takes 110mm pipe to BS 4514. That means you can go from an old clay or cast iron socket into plastic soil pipe without cement or a clamp. McAlpine say their drain connectors are for above ground use only, so this is for low level connections, not buried drains.

Can a drain connector be used underground?

McAlpine say their drain connectors are for above ground use only. For buried work, use underground drainage fittings.

Will it fit an old clay or cast iron drain?

Yes. The finned seal is made to push into a 4″/110mm cast iron, plastic or clay socket. Clean the old socket out well first so the fins can seal.

What is 110mm soil pipe in inches?

It is the metric size for what used to be called 4 inch. That is why McAlpine list it as 4″/110mm.
