JG Speedfit MDPE Stop End 20mm to 25mm

Push a JG Speedfit MDPE stop end onto blue water pipe and the end is sealed. There is no nut to tighten, and the cap can be pulled off again when the pipe is needed.

Uses for a JG Speedfit MDPE stop end

Builders lay supplies to plots, extensions and garden rooms long before anyone connects to them. A stop end keeps the pipe sealed and clean until then. It is also handy when you cut a supply back during a repair and need to get the house running again while you fetch parts. Because it is demountable, it comes off when the final connection is made.

Fit an insert in the pipe and push the pipe fully in. A capped pipe has full mains pressure behind it, so check it carefully before covering. If it is going to be buried for a while, note where it is, so whoever connects later can find it.

Common Questions

Can I pull a Speedfit stop end off later?

Yes. With the water off, push the collet in and draw the stop end off the pipe. The pipe can then be connected to the next fitting.

Is a stop end safe on a live supply?

Yes, it is made to hold mains pressure on the pipe end. Check it carefully under pressure before you cover it.

Should a capped supply be marked?

Yes. Note where it is on a plan or with a marker, so the next person can find it without digging up the whole garden.
