An Xpress Stainless Steel Press Fit Sealing Ring is a spare EPDM O-ring for Pegler Yorkshire XPress stainless press fittings, sold in 15mm, 22mm, 28mm, 35mm, 42mm, 54mm, 76.1mm and 108mm for engineers who carry stainless fittings. If a ring is knocked out of its groove, nicked by a burr or dirtied before pressing, a fresh one saves binning the fitting.
Aalberts list one EPDM O-ring for both the XPress stainless and carbon steel ranges. It is the standard ring for water and heating; for oils, fuels or unusual media, check the right seal with us before fitting.
Only replace a ring on a fitting that has not been pressed. Pick the old ring out with something that will not scratch the groove, seat the new one evenly and check it has not twisted. Keep a few of each size in the van. They are listed in our XPress press fit sealing rings section.

Common Questions
Can I re-ring a fitting that has already been pressed? No. Once pressed the fitting is deformed onto the pipe, so a leaking pressed joint has to be cut out and replaced.
Does the Xpress Stainless Steel Press Fit Sealing Ring fit carbon steel XPress? Yes, Aalberts list the same EPDM ring for XPress stainless and XPress carbon fittings.
Can I grease the new ring? Avoid oil and grease, which attack EPDM. A little clean water is usually enough to help the pipe in.
