Where economy pipe insulation in 1m pieces helps
A 1m tube is easy to handle in a loft hatch, under a sink or in a cramped airing cupboard. It suits small jobs, such as lagging a few metres of cold feed or the pipes near a tank. Short lengths also mean less waste when the run is broken up by bends, valves and tees.

Is economy lagging good enough for a loft tank feed?
For a short feed in a reasonably sheltered loft, it does a fair job. In a very cold, draughty loft, a thicker branded lagging gives more frost cover.
