Is 82mm soil pipe the same as 3 inch?
Yes. 82mm is the metric size of 3 inch plastic soil pipe. It is used for soil stacks and branches where Building Regulations allow a smaller pipe than 110mm.
How do ring seal joints go together?
Chamfer and clean the pipe end, put a little silicone lubricant on it, push it fully into the socket, then pull it back about 10mm to leave room for expansion.
