For bolting large copper tube to flanged plant, the Xpress Yorkshire Press-Fit Copper Female Flange PN16 presses onto the pipe and gives you a PN16 flange to bolt up to valves, pumps and other flanged gear. The press end is a standard Xpress socket that takes the tube.
What it’s used for
Think plant rooms, boiler houses and big distribution mains. Pump sets, double regulating valves and strainers in these sizes usually come flanged. This adaptor saves brazing on site and keeps the whole run in Press-Fit, which is quicker and cleaner on a live building.
The flange is part of the Xpress copper system for water, heating and chilled water lines. Don’t use it on gas.
Sizes and fitting tips
It comes in sizes for 66.7mm and 76.1mm copper. A few things to check before you start:
- Confirm the flange you’re mating to is PN16 drilled. Other ratings won’t line up.
- Have the gasket, bolts and nuts ready. They’re separate from the fitting.
- Check your press tool covers these larger sizes.
- Square cut, deburr both edges, and mark the depth so you can see the tube is fully home before you press.
