The Xpress Yorkshire Press-Fit Gas Copper Obtuse Elbow 45 Deg joins two copper gas pipes at 45 degrees. Both ends are press joints, and the fitting carries yellow gas marking, so nobody mistakes it for a water fitting.
Using the Xpress Yorkshire Press-Fit Gas Copper Obtuse Elbow 45 Deg
Pairs of 45s give a neat offset round a beam, a meter box or another service. They also make a gentler turn than a 90, which helps on long gas runs. The range is for natural gas and LPG installations. Pressing means no flame, which matters in occupied buildings and near timber.

Gas work must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Cut the copper square and deburr it, mark the insertion depth and set the angle before pressing, because a pressed fitting cannot be turned. The larger sizes need press tooling that covers them. Tightness test the installation before it goes back into use.
