Geberit Mapress Copper Coupling (Gas) 15mm to 54mm

The Geberit Mapress Copper Coupling (Gas) joins two lengths of copper tube of the same size in a straight line, with a press socket at each end. It is the fitting you use most on a press job: joining tube lengths, closing in a cut-out section or putting a run back together after a repair. We sell it in 15mm, 22mm, 28mm, 35mm, 42mm and 54mm, all genuine Geberit stock.

Mapress Copper gas fittings have a yellow HNBR seal ring and yellow marking, so they are easy to tell from the water range on site. They are made for natural gas and LPG on copper tube to EN 1057. Like the water range, a joint that has not been pressed leaks under test, so a missed one shows up before the supply is turned on. Gas work must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

Can I use Mapress water fittings on gas? No. Only the gas range with the yellow seal and marking is made for gas. Water fittings have a black seal and are not approved for gas.

How do I tell the gas fitting from the water one? The Mapress Copper gas fittings have a yellow HNBR seal ring, a yellow marking and a yellow protection plug. The water fittings have a black seal and white indicator.

What tube can I use it on? Geberit say the gas fittings must go on quality copper tube made to EN 1057. Use the same Mapress M contour jaws as on the water range.
