JG Speedfit Plastic Push-Fit Adapting Appliance Tap Tee 15mm x 15mm x 3/4″

This JG Speedfit Appliance Tap Tee cuts into a 15mm pipe and gives a valved 3/4 inch BSP male outlet off the side, sized 15mm x 15mm x 3/4 inch, for plumbers and DIY fitters connecting a washing machine or dishwasher.

Both run ends are 15mm push-fit, so it goes in without soldering or compression nuts on the run. The branch has its own valve, so the appliance can be isolated for servicing or a swap, and the appliance hose threads straight onto the 3/4 inch outlet. Cut the supply pipe under the sink or behind the unit, drop the tee in, and screw on the hose.

The run ends take 15mm copper as it is, or Speedfit barrier pipe with 15mm inserts. It’s for hot and cold water services up to 65°C and isn’t suitable for central heating. Check that the hose washer is in place before you tighten it, and don’t overdo it on the plastic thread. Common Questions

Will a washing machine hose fit it? Yes. Appliance hoses have a 3/4 inch female end that screws onto the outlet, with the hose washer doing the sealing. Hand tight plus a little is plenty.

Can I fit it on a heating pipe? No. It’s for hot and cold water services only and isn’t suitable for central heating.

Do I need an insert with this fitting? On Speedfit plastic barrier pipe, yes: push a 15mm Speedfit insert fully into each cut end before it goes in. Copper tube needs no insert. Speedfit only want their inserts used in their own pipe.

How do you take a Speedfit fitting off the pipe? Take the pressure off the system first. Turn the locking cap back until there’s a small gap at the body, press the collet ring evenly in towards the body and keep it held while you draw the pipe out. The fitting can go back on with no new parts.
