Armaflex Class O Pipe Insulation 60mm x 25mm is a 25mm wall tube for 2 inch steel (60.3mm outside). It goes on chilled water mains and on cold supplies passing through unheated plant spaces, where frost or condensation would cause trouble on a bare pipe.

A thick closed-cell wall does two jobs on a cold pipe. It slows the heat gain that warms chilled water, and it keeps the foam surface warm enough that water vapour will not condense on it. Because the cells are sealed, the foam does not hold water either.

Where a 2 inch cold main runs through damp or unheated space, the 25mm wall stops condensation dripping and gives good frost cover. Indoors in warm areas, a thinner wall may do.

Will the 60mm x 25mm tube fit standard pipe hangers?

The insulated size is large, so check the hangers before ordering. Many jobs use insulated pipe supports so the foam is not crushed.
