Black Malleable Iron Straight Union FxF used to connect two male threaded fittings or spigots.

Common Questions

When should I fit a straight union?

Fit one where a valve, pump or appliance may need removing, or where you need to join two pipes that cannot be turned. It is the usual way to close the last gap in a screwed run.

How does a union seal?

The two halves meet on a machined face that the nut pulls together. Keep it clean and do not put tape on the face.

Is an FxF union the same as an MxF union?

They join in the same way, but the FxF has female threads at both ends while the MxF has one male end. Pick by the threads at each side of the joint.
