Compression Internal Reducer Set 1 Piece
A one piece Compression Internal Reducer (also called a reducer set or insert reducer) pushes into the end of a larger compression fitting so a smaller copper pipe can join into it. The most asked for size is the Compression Internal Reducer 15mm to 10mm (15mm x 10mm), which lets 10mm microbore pipe run into a standard 15mm compression fitting, isolating valve or radiator valve.

Common Questions
Do you have a 15mm to 10mm compression internal reducer in Glasgow? Yes, the 15mm x 10mm Compression Internal Reducer is In Stock at Plumb Parts, 555 South Street, Glasgow G14 0QX. We are open 7 days, Mon to Fri 8am to 5pm and Sat and Sun 8am to 1pm.
How do I fit a 15mm to 10mm internal reducer? Take the 15mm nut and olive off the fitting, push the reducer into the 15mm port and tighten it, then fit the 10mm pipe into the reducer with its own 10mm nut and olive.
What is a compression reducer? It’s a one-piece insert that sits inside a compression fitting so a smaller pipe can join into a bigger fitting. For example, the 28mm x 15mm lets a 15mm pipe run into a 28mm fitting.
How does a compression reducer work? The reducer takes the place of the larger pipe end inside the fitting, and the smaller pipe then seals into the reducer with its own nut and olive. The result is a tight joint without any heat.
How do I fit a 28mm to 15mm compression reducer? Push the 28mm x 15mm reducer into the 28mm side of the fitting and tighten that nut, then fit the 15mm pipe into the reducer with its olive and nut. Cut the pipe square and clean off any burrs first so the olive seats properly.
Can I use it on plastic pipe? Yes, as long as you use a pipe insert in the plastic pipe so it doesn’t squash when the nut is tightened.
What is the reducer made from? It’s made of brass, to suit our brass compression fittings.
Do I need a blowtorch to fit it? No, compression joints are heat-free, which makes them handy for repairs or anywhere you’d rather not use a flame.
