Copper Pipe Coil 6mm x 10m, a short roll of soft annealed 6mm copper for microbore repairs, towel rail feeds and gauge lines. Tube to BS EN 1057 with a 0.6mm wall that bends easily by hand and takes 6mm compression or push-fit fittings. Collect from our Glasgow shop at 555 South Street G14 0QX.
The Copper Pipe Coil 6mm x 10m is a short roll of 6mm soft copper for when you need a few metres, not a full coil, mostly bought by heating engineers patching a damaged run on an old microbore system or running a gauge line on a boiler or cylinder.
At 6mm the tube is pencil thin, so it slips through gaps that 15mm never would. On heating it serves small radiators and towel rails on older microbore layouts, and outside heating it makes neat small bore feeds and instrument lines. It is annealed copper to BS EN 1057 with a 0.6mm wall and bends easily by hand. Use 6mm compression or push-fit fittings.
Before you buy, check the old pipe really is 6mm and not 8mm, as they look similar once painted over. Calipers, or a fitting you know is 6mm, settle it. Use a mini tube cutter, deburr the inside and re-round the end before fitting the nut and olive. Go easy on compression nuts, and clip it neatly, as thin copper sags and is easy to knock. The 25m coil is in our copper coil range alongside the Copper Pipe Coil 6mm x 10m.

Common Questions
How do I know if my pipe is 6mm or 8mm? Measure the outside diameter with calipers, or offer up a fitting you know the size of. Paint makes the two hard to tell apart by eye.
Is 10m of 6mm enough for a repair? For most patches on a microbore run, yes. Measure the damaged section and the route before buying.
Can 6mm copper be soldered? Yes, with 6mm end feed or solder fittings where you can get them, though most people use 6mm compression fittings for speed. Keep the heat gentle on such thin tube.
