For hand basin and bidet wastes, the FloPlast Solvent Weld Waste Pipe 2m length in 32mm is a handy size to keep on the van. It is ABS pipe from FloPlast’s Solvent Weld waste system, and it also comes in 1m and 3m lengths.
Where FloPlast 32mm Solvent Weld waste pipe goes
Run it from a basin trap to the soil stack or a boss connection, or through the wall to an outside gully. Joints are Solvent Welded to FloPlast ABS fittings, so once cemented they’re permanent. The pipe is light, which makes it easy to handle on runs through joists.

Keep basin runs short and with a steady fall; a long 32mm waste can siphon the trap. If the run is long, step up to 40mm with a reducer. Cut square, deburr, then clean and cement the joint with a solvent cement made for ABS. Keep Push Fit lubricant well away from solvent joints. Clip the pipe regularly, and closer on horizontal runs.

Which appliances use 32mm waste pipe?
Hand basins and bidets mostly use 32mm. Baths, showers and kitchen sinks normally need the bigger 40mm waste.
Why does a long 32mm basin waste gurgle?
A long or steep small waste can siphon water out of the trap. Keep the run short, or move up to 40mm with a reducer if the run is long.
Can I use Push Fit lubricant near Solvent Weld joints?
Keep it well away from them. Lubricant on the pipe stops solvent cement bonding, so clean the pipe and fitting before cementing.
