FloPlast White Compression 90° Elbow – WC10 32mm

The FloPlast White Compression 90° Elbow WC10 is a white right-angle bend for 32mm basin waste, which grips each pipe with its own nut and seal.

It turns a basin waste along a wall, through a wall and down outside, or towards a boss on the stack. Compression joints grip the pipe with a seal and can be undone, which suits older work and future alterations.

Cut the pipe square and deburr it. Thread the nut and then the seal over the pipe, seat it against the internal stop, and do the nut up by hand plus a bit.

Keep the run falling after the bend, and clip close by.

If a joint weeps, check the pipe went fully home before tightening further, since overtightening squashes the seal. On an outside run, white fittings suit render and painted walls. Compression joints are a good choice when tying into an older basin waste whose make you cannot identify.

Can I use the WC10 on 1 1/4 inch imperial waste?

FloPlast class 32mm as the 1 1/4 inch size, and their Compression fittings are made to grip pipe of that size. Measure the old pipe first, as very old imperial pipe can vary.

How far should I clip from the bend?

Clip close to each side of the elbow so the joint is not carrying the pipe. FloPlast suggest clips no more than 0.5m apart on level 32mm runs.

Is a 90 degree elbow okay on a basin waste?

Yes, though two sharp bends close together slow the flow. Where there is room, a pair of 45 degree bends gives a smoother turn.
