The Geberit Mapress Copper Reducer (Gas) steps a copper run down a size, with a plain spigot on the large end that goes into a fitting and a press socket on the small end for the tube. Push the plain end into a tee, elbow or coupling of the larger size and press it there. Mapress Copper gas fittings have a yellow HNBR seal ring and yellow marking, so they are easy to tell from the water range on site. They are made for natural gas and LPG on copper tube to EN 1057. Like the water range, a joint that has not been pressed leaks under test, so a missed one shows up before the supply is turned on. Gas work must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
