The Geberit Mapress 316 stainless steel adaptor male thread joins Mapress 316 stainless steel system pipe to a female threaded fitting. One end is a press connection for the pipe, and the other end is a male thread.
Sizes of the Geberit Mapress 316 stainless steel adaptor male thread
Each size is listed as pipe size by thread size, so pick the one that matches both your pipe and the fitting it screws into. The range runs from small domestic sizes to large commercial bores.
Typical uses are connecting valves, meters, pumps and equipment with female threads into a stainless press system. Seal the thread with a suitable sealant or tape before fitting, and tighten it into the fitting first so you are not twisting the pressed joint afterwards.
The press end is made with a Mapress compatible press tool and the correct jaw or sling for the size. Square the pipe end and remove burrs, then mark the depth on the pipe and push it fully home before you press. A pressing indicator shows whether a fitting has been pressed, so check each one before testing.

Common Questions
Can this adaptor be pressed onto copper pipe?
No. Geberit say only Mapress system pipe is to be pressed into Mapress 316 Stainless Steel fittings. To go onto copper or another metal, use a threaded joint, which is what this adaptor gives you.
How do I seal the thread on a stainless adaptor?
The male end is a taper thread, so seal it with PTFE tape or a thread sealant approved for the water in the system. Make the thread joint before you press, so you are not twisting a pressed joint.
How can I tell a stainless fitting from a copper one?
Mapress 316 Stainless Steel fittings carry a blue pressing indicator, while copper ones have a white one. The indicator also shows up any joint that has not been pressed yet.
