Fitting a Geberit Mapress 316 Stainless Steel Flange PN 10/16 with Pressing Sockets lets you go straight from stainless tube to a flanged valve or pump. The flange end bolts to equipment drilled to PN 10/16, and the other end is a press socket that goes directly onto the pipe.

Because the socket presses onto tube, you need no extra coupling or stub. That helps where pipe comes straight into a pump, a flanged valve or a plate heat exchanger. The small sizes are handy for flanged instruments and small pumps, while the larger ones suit plant room headers.
Confirm the flange rating on the equipment, PN 10 or PN 16, before you order. Bolt the flange first with the right gasket and fixings, tightening across the bolt circle a bit at a time. Then cut and deburr the pipe, mark the depth, push it fully in and press. Keep the pipe supported close to the flange so its weight does not hang on the equipment. The plain end flange is listed with the rest of our Geberit Mapress 316 stainless steel.

Does it press straight onto pipe?
Yes, the socket end goes directly onto Mapress 316 Stainless Steel pipe. That saves an extra coupling or stub between the pipe and the flange.
Who uses the 15mm flange?
It suits small flanged instruments, meters and pumps on light pipework. Most plant room headers use the 54mm to 108mm sizes instead.
Should the flange be bolted before pressing?
Yes. Bolt the flange to the equipment first, then press the pipe, so the pressed joint takes no strain while the bolts are pulled up.
