The Geberit Mapress 316 Stainless Steel Union with Stainless Steel Nut is a straight union with a press socket on both ends and a stainless steel union nut for the Mapress Stainless Steel press fit system. We list it in 15mm, 22mm, 28mm, 35mm, 42mm, 54mm for plumbers, gas engineers and mechanical contractors in Glasgow and the West of Scotland.
The union lets you undo the joint later to take out a pump, meter or valve without cutting the tube. It is made of 316 stainless steel (CrNiMo 1.4401) with a black CIIR sealing ring and a pressing indicator that shows any joint left unpressed. Use it for drinking water (hot and cold), heating water and cooling water.
Mark the insertion depth on the tube before you push it in, so you know it is fully home, then press with Geberit Mapress press jaws of the right size.
