JG Speedfit Stem Reducer 32mm

A JG Speedfit stem reducer changes pipe size at a fitting rather than in the middle of a run. The stem end pushes into a socket on another fitting, and the other end takes the smaller pipe.

How the JG Speedfit stem reducer saves a joint

With a normal reducer you need a short piece of pipe between the fitting and the reducer. A stem reducer cuts that out. Push the stem straight into a tee, an elbow or a stop tap, and the size change is done there. That keeps a meter pit or a tight corner tidy.

Push the stem fully into the receiving socket, just like a pipe, and check it with a pull. Then fit the pipe into the other end with the right insert. Check the 28mm side matches the pipe you are joining before you order, because 28mm is not a common MDPE size. If unsure, bring a piece of the pipe to the counter.

What is a stem reducer for?

Will the 28mm end take my pipe?

Check the outside size of your pipe first, because 28mm is not a usual MDPE size. Bring an offcut to the counter if you are unsure.

Does the pipe need an insert?

On plastic pipe, yes. A Speedfit insert belongs in the plastic pipe end before it is pushed in.
