LPG bayonet cooker hose for bottled or bulk LPG supplies. A flexible hose with a bayonet plug, so a freestanding cooker running on LPG can be unplugged and pulled out for cleaning. Sold by Plumb Parts in Glasgow.
This LPG bayonet cooker hose is the LPG version of the bayonet cooker connector. It joins a freestanding LPG cooker to a bayonet wall socket, so the cooker can be unplugged and moved.
LPG bayonet cooker hose explained
Homes off the gas grid often run cookers on LPG from bottles or a bulk tank. Natural gas hoses are not meant for that, so an LPG hose is needed. The bayonet plug pushes and twists into the socket. Being able to unplug the cooker makes cleaning behind it much easier.
The length is not shown on this listing, so ask at the counter if you need to check it against the space behind your cooker.
By law, a Gas Safe registered engineer must connect it. The cooker needs a stability chain or bracket so the hose cannot be pulled tight. Keep the hose clear of hot surfaces and the floor. Check it for wear at each service and replace it if it looks tired.
Natural gas versions and other hoses are in our gas hoses category.
Specification
- Connection: Bayonet plug

Common Questions
Can I use a natural gas cooker hose on LPG?
Use the hose made for the gas you have. This one is the LPG version, and a Gas Safe engineer must check it suits the cooker and supply.
Does an LPG cooker need a stability bracket?
Yes, like any freestanding gas cooker on a flexible hose, it needs a stability chain or bracket so it cannot strain the hose.
How often should the hose be changed?
Ask the engineer to look it over each time the cooker is serviced. Any cracking, kinks or a worn cover mean a new hose, and it should never be painted or touch hot parts.
