Description

The LPG Micropoint Cooker Hose 4ft is a 4ft flexible hose for connecting a freestanding LPG cooker to a Micropoint wall socket.

Using an LPG Micropoint cooker hose 4ft

Micropoint is a plug-in connection, so the cooker can be unplugged and moved for cleaning without breaking a fixed joint. This version is for LPG supplies, which are common in rural homes, caravan parks and properties off the gas main.

A 4ft hose gives room to pull the cooker out a little. Check the distance from the wall socket to the cooker inlet so the hose sits in a loose loop and does not drag on the floor.

Have a Gas Safe registered engineer do the connection. Fit a stability chain or bracket to the cooker, set so the hose never takes any strain. Keep it away from hot surfaces and sharp edges. Inspect it at every service and replace it if the cover is cracked or worn.

For natural gas, choose the standard Micropoint hose instead. All options are in the gas hoses section.

Specification

  • Connection: Micropoint plug-in connector
  • Sizes: 4ft
  • Suitable for: Freestanding LPG cookers

Common Questions

Will a Micropoint hose fit a bayonet socket?

No. Micropoint and bayonet are different plug and socket types, so the hose must match the socket on the wall.

Is 4ft long enough?

It suits most cookers where the socket is close behind. Measure from the socket to the cooker inlet, allowing a loose loop.

Who can connect an LPG cooker hose?

A Gas Safe registered engineer with LPG competence. They will connect it, fit the stability bracket and test for tightness.
