Common Questions
What is a Macfit pan connector? It’s a McAlpine WC connector that links the toilet pan outlet to the soil pipe. The MAC-8 is the 90 degree version for 4 inch (110mm) pipe.
When would I need a 90 degree pan connector? Use it where the soil pipe runs off to the side or behind the pan rather than straight out from it.
Is there a longer version of the MAC-8? Yes, the MAC-8L is the long version of the same 90 degree Macfit connector, handy if you need more reach.
What standard does the MAC-8 meet? It’s covered by BS 5627, the British Standard for plastic WC pan connectors.
Will it fit my soil pipe? It’s made for 4 inch (110mm) soil pipe, which is the standard size for a WC connection in most UK homes. Check your pipe’s size before ordering.
