The Polyplumb Brass Male BSP Adaptor pairs a Push Fit socket with a male BSP brass thread. It screws into a female threaded port, then the pipe pushes in.
Fitting a Polyplumb Brass Male BSP Adaptor
Use it to connect into a female tapping on a radiator valve body, an expansion vessel, a pump or a cylinder. The 10mm x 1/4″ and 10mm x 3/8″ sizes suit small ports and microbore. The bigger 22mm x 3/4″ and 28mm x 1″ suit mains and cylinder work. Because the thread is brass, it holds up well when tightened.

Wrap PTFE tape clockwise on the male thread, or use a jointing paste suited to the system. Screw it in by the brass hex. Never use the plastic socket as a handle. When the thread is tight, push the pipe home past the grab ring to the depth mark. Female versions and other adaptors sit in Polyplumb Fittings.

Common Questions
Where would I use a male BSP adaptor?
Screwing into a female port on a valve, expansion vessel, pump or cylinder, then pushing the pipe into the other end.
Which way does PTFE tape go on?
Clockwise when looking at the end of the thread, so it tightens rather than unwinds as you screw it in.
Can I grip the plastic body to tighten it?
No. Tighten it on the brass hex only, because turning it by the plastic socket can crack or distort it.
