The Polyplumb Appliance Valve is a washing machine style valve with a Push Fit socket on the inlet. The 15mm pipe pushes in, and the 3/4″ threaded outlet takes the fill hose from the appliance.
Where the Polyplumb Appliance Valve goes
Fit it behind a washing machine or dishwasher on the hot or cold feed. It gives the appliance its own shut off. So if a hose bursts or the machine needs changing, you close the valve and leave the rest of the house running. Because the inlet is Push Fit, it is quick to add onto a plastic or copper supply.

- Use a pipe stiffener in plastic pipe
Cut the pipe square with proper cutters. On plastic pipe, push a stiffener into the end first. Mark the depth, then push the pipe in firmly until it reaches the mark. Common Questions
Does the Polyplumb appliance valve fit a washing machine hose?
Yes, the 3/4″ outlet takes a standard washing machine or dishwasher fill hose. Check the hose washer is in place.
Can it go on the hot feed as well as the cold?
Yes, fit one on whichever feed the appliance uses, hot or cold. Plenty of newer washing machines take a cold feed only, so look at the appliance before plumbing a hot one.
Do I need a stiffener behind the appliance valve?
On plastic pipe, yes, push one into the cut end first. Copper pipe just needs a square, deburred end.
