The Polyplumb Stopcock is a screw down stop valve with Push Fit sockets on each end. It is the valve that shuts off the incoming cold supply to a property, or isolates a large section of pipework.

Fitting a Polyplumb Stopcock

Every home needs a stopcock that works and that people can find. Fit it just inside the building where the main comes in, usually under the kitchen sink. The 15mm size suits most houses and flats, and the 22mm size suits bigger supplies. Because the ends are Push Fit, it goes onto plastic or copper without a blowlamp or spanners.
