PolyPlumb Equal Tee 10mm to 28mm

The PolyPlumb Equal Tee is a push fit tee with three sockets the same size, made by Polypipe. We sell it in 10mm, 15mm, 22mm and 28mm. The PolyPlumb 15mm tee is the one for teeing off a cold feed to an extra tap or toilet, while 22mm splits a heating flow and 10mm suits microbore. It is for plumbers, heating engineers and householders working in plastic or copper.

It joins polybutylene pipe or copper tube, so you can tee plastic off a copper run. On plastic pipe, put a pipe stiffener in every end. On copper, deburr the end so it does not damage the seal. Push the pipe in until it stops and give it a pull to check it has gripped. Polyplumb joints can be taken apart by undoing the cap nut, but fit a new grab ring before you use the tee again.

Common Questions

How do I fit the PolyPlumb Equal Tee? On plastic pipe, put a stiffener in each pipe end; on copper, take the burr off the end so it doesn’t damage the seal. Push the pipe in until it stops, then give it a pull to check it has gripped.

Can I release the PolyPlumb Equal Tee once it’s fitted? Yes, Polyplumb fittings are demountable. Undo the cap nut and take the pipe out with the socket parts still on it, never pull it out by force, and fit a new grab ring before you put it back.

Is the PolyPlumb push-fit tee reliable? Yes, it carries the BSI Kitemark to BS 7291 Class S for domestic hot and cold water and central heating. Fit stiffeners on plastic and push the pipe fully home for a sound joint.

What is push fit? It’s a way of joining pipe where you push the pipe into the fitting and it grips, with no heat, solder or spanners. This PolyPlumb tee takes polybutylene or copper pipe that way.

Which size PolyPlumb Equal Tee should I use? The 15mm is the one for teeing a cold feed off to an extra tap or toilet. Use 22mm to split a heating flow and 10mm for microbore.

Is 15mm the same as 1/2 inch? Not exactly. 15mm replaced 1/2 inch, but if you’re joining onto old imperial pipe, ask us for the right adaptor.
