Common Questions
What size flexi hose do I need for a kitchen tap? This Viva SSH1/A is 1/2 inch x 15mm and 500mm long, which gives extra reach where the pipe is well below the tap. Check the connection on your tap matches before you buy.
Can you bend a flexible tap connector? Yes, it can take a gentle bend to line up with the pipe. Don’t kink it or stretch it tight.
How tight should a flexible tap connector be? Snug it up by hand, then give it a small extra turn with a spanner. Overtightening can damage the seal or the thread.
Does the Viva SSH1/A have an isolating valve? No, it is a plain hose. If you want an isolator built in, the SSH2/A is the same size with one.
Can you shorten a flexible tap connector? No, a braided flexi hose cannot be cut down, so choose the right length to start with. This one is 500mm long.
How do you measure for a flexible tap connector? Measure from the tap tail to where it will join the pipe, and allow a bit extra for a gentle curve. The hose should sit easily without being pulled tight or kinked.
