The Xpress Yorkshire Press-Fit Copper Female Branch Tee has Press-Fit ends on the run and a female BSP threaded branch in the middle. It lets you take a threaded connection straight off a copper pipe without an extra adaptor.
What it’s used for
Gauges, thermometers, sensor pockets, air vents and drain cocks all screw into a tee like this. It is also handy for a threaded test point on a commercial run. On larger pipe sizes with a 1/2″ branch, it does the job of a boss without any welding or brazing.
This tee belongs to the Xpress copper system used on heating, hot and cold water and chilled water. For gas work, there’s a separate gas version with yellow marking.
Sizes available
- 1/2″ branch: 15mm, 22mm, 28mm, 35mm, 42mm, 54mm and 76.1mm runs
- 3/4″ branch: 22mm and 28mm runs
Fitting tips
If you can, fit the threaded item into the branch first, so you aren’t straining the pressed joints when you tighten it. Use PTFE or a suitable sealant on the male thread going in. Cut and deburr the tube, mark the depth, and line the branch up before pressing.
