For radiator tails and branch runs, the Hep2O Barrier Pipe Coil 15mm is the size you will get through fastest. It is Push Fit polybutylene with an oxygen barrier, in coils of 25m, 50m or 100m.

Typical jobs are feeding radiators off the heating main, running hot and cold to basins, sinks and appliances, and general 15mm work across a property. The barrier layer stops oxygen getting into a heating system through the pipe wall, and barrier pipe can be used on domestic hot and cold water too. Being flexible, it snakes under floorboards and round corners with fewer fittings than copper.

Cut with plastic pipe cutters on one of the printed ‘^’ marks, check the end is clean, then fit a 15mm SmartSleeve before the pipe goes into a fitting. Push firmly, feel it seat, then tug back. Keep 15mm radiator tails clipped so they do not rattle in a notch. If you need to undo a Hep2O joint, a HepKey releases the grab ring. Add an inhibitor when the heating is filled.

Which coil length suits a bathroom refit?

For hot and cold to a basin, bath and WC, the 25m coil normally covers it. Go for 50m if you are also running new radiator tails in the same room.

Can I bend 15mm Hep2O round a corner without an elbow?

Yes, it bends gently by hand. Keep the curve wide and clipped on both sides; a sharp turn still wants an elbow.

Why does the pipe need a SmartSleeve?

The sleeve holds the soft pipe round inside the fitting so the O ring seals properly. Leaving it out is one of the main reasons a Push Fit joint weeps.
