Cut soil pipe leaves you with plain ends, and the FloPlast Ring Seal Single Coupler SP124 puts a socket back on one of them. The next length or fitting can then push in.
How the FloPlast Ring Seal Single Coupler SP124 is used
It is handy when working with offcuts or making repairs without a single socket length to hand. The coupler goes onto the cut pipe and gives you a Ring Seal joint to carry on with.
Check how the coupler fixes to the pipe before you start, and use the right method for each end. Silicone lubricant goes on Ring Seal joints only.
Bevel the edge of any pipe entering the seal, otherwise the rubber can be pushed out of its groove. Push home and ease back slightly.
Clip close to the coupler so it stays in line. On a repair, check the old pipe is sound either side before you join onto it, since cracked pipe will not seal. Mark the depth on each pipe so you can see it went fully home.
