The 110mm 45 Degree Triple Socket Equal Junction is a push-fit underground Y junction with three 110mm ring seal sockets, for bringing a branch drain into a main run at 45 degrees. Collect it from our Glasgow shop at 555 South Street G14 0QX.
The 110mm 45 Degree Triple Socket Equal Junction is a push-fit underground Y junction with three 110mm ring seal sockets, for plumbers and groundworkers bringing a branch drain into a main run at an easy angle.
A 45 degree entry lets the incoming flow join the main run smoothly, with less chance of solids building up than a square entry. Use it to connect a gully, a soil stack or a new extension drain into an existing 110mm run. Being equal, the branch is the same 110mm as the main, and with sockets on all three legs, plain pipe pushes straight into each.
Set the junction with the branch angled downstream, in the direction of flow, and keep it well supported in granular bedding. If you’re breaking into an old run, a slip coupling makes it far easier to drop the junction in. If the branch needs to take a fitting rather than pipe, a bend with a spigot end will plug into it.
Bends, pipe and socket plugs to go with the 110mm 45 Degree Triple Socket Equal Junction are in our soil and underground pipe and fittings category.

Common Questions
45 or 87.5 degree junction, which should I use? The 45 degree Y junction gives a smoother join and is kinder to the drain where there’s room. The 87.5 degree junction is for tight spots where the branch has to come straight in from the side.
Which way round does a Y junction go? The branch should point downstream, so the incoming water joins in the direction of flow. Fitting it backwards pushes flow against the main run and invites blockages.
How do I cut 110mm drainage pipe square? Wrap a sheet of paper or tape round the pipe as a guide line and cut with a fine-toothed saw. File off the burr and chamfer the outside edge so it doesn’t push the seal out of its seat.
What lubricant should I use on underground seals? A silicone pipe lubricant made for drainage seals. Washing up liquid can dry out and damage the seal, so leave it in the kitchen.
