Adding a basin or shower to a bathroom where the stack has no spare boss is what the FloPlast Ring Seal Strap Boss SP319 is for. You cut a hole in the 110mm pipe, strap the boss round it and connect your waste.
How the FloPlast Ring Seal Strap Boss SP319 fits
The boss sits over a hole cut in the soil pipe, and a strap pulls it tight round the pipe. The outlet then takes a boss adaptor sized for your waste, either a rubber Push-Fit type or a solvent type for ABS waste.
Use a hole saw sized as the fitting instructions state. Clean the swarf and burrs out of the hole, because a rough edge can lift the seal. Get the boss level and pointing the right way before you tighten it.
Keep the waste falling steadily into the boss. A short, steep waste can pull a trap seal, so an anti-siphon trap is worth considering.
