FLOPLAST SINGLE BOWL SINK KIT – 76mm SEAL x 40mm

The FloPlast Single Bowl Sink Kit is a sink waste kit for a single bowl kitchen sink. It is 40mm (1 1/2 inch) with a 76mm water seal trap. It suits plumbers and kitchen fitters, and householders putting in a new sink or replacing an old cracked trap.

It connects the outlet of your sink waste to a 40mm plastic waste pipe. The trap holds 76mm of water, which stops drain smells coming back up the plughole. The outlet is a compression type, so it fits onto plastic waste pipe with a nut and seal, with no glue needed. It is made from polypropylene, which copes with hot water from the sink. Check the washers are in place and do the nuts up by hand, then run the tap and look for drips.

What is a sink waste kit?

It is the trap and pipework that runs from the waste outlet under the sink to the waste pipe. The trap holds water to keep drain smells out of the kitchen.

What does the 76mm seal mean?

How do I fit a sink waste kit?

Fit the trap to the sink waste outlet first, then line up the outlet with your waste pipe. Check each washer is seated and tighten the nuts by hand only. Run the tap for a minute and check every joint for drips.
