Tectite Sprint Stop End 10mm to 28mm

The Tectite Sprint Stop End caps off the end of a pipe. Handy for a dead leg, first fix, or a pipe you will come back to later.

Sizes: 10mm, 15mm, 22mm and 28mm.

Cut the pipe square, take off the burr, mark the insert depth and push the pipe in with a slight twist until it clicks home. Check the mark sits at the mouth of the fitting and give it a firm pull. No heat, no flux and no spanners on the push-fit end. Sprint joints are permanent: they cannot be taken apart and used again.

Common Questions

Can I take it off again later?
No. Sprint joints are permanent, so cut the pipe behind the stop end when you come back to extend it.

Can a Tectite Sprint fitting be taken apart?
No. Sprint fittings are not demountable. Once the pipe is pushed home the joint is permanent, so cut the pipe if you need to change it.

Do Tectite Sprint fittings need pipe inserts?
Not on copper. On PEX or PB plastic pipe, fit a pipe insert first so the pipe keeps its shape and seals properly.

Can Tectite Sprint go on gas?
No. Use it on water, heating and chilled water only.
