Common Questions

What should the wall plate be fixed to?

Something solid. On masonry use plugs and screws, and on a stud wall fit a timber noggin behind it so the plate cannot work loose when the tap is used.

Can it go through tiles?

Yes, drill the tile with a tile bit and fix through into the wall or noggin behind. Seal round it so splashes cannot get into the wall.

15mm x 1/2″ or 22mm x 3/4″: which do I want?

Most taps and shower outlets fed in 15mm pipe use the 1/2″ size. The 22mm x 3/4″ suits bigger outlets on a larger supply.
