The Double Panel Double Convector 300mm High Radiator is for walls where there is very little height to play with. It is also known as a Type 22 or K2: two steel panels, each with a set of convector fins behind it.
Where a double panel double convector 300mm high radiator earns its keep
Low windows, the space below a breakfast bar and the strip under a skylight are typical spots. Because it is so short, it has to be long to give real heat. That is where the double panel and double convector build helps, since it packs more heating surface into the same wall space than a single panel. So a long, low Type 22 can often replace a taller single panel radiator.

At 300mm, check the valve positions against the floor and skirting before you set the tails. Because the radiator is deep, allow for the bracket depth off the wall too. Fix the brackets level and into solid fixings. Once it is hung, fill, vent from the top corner and check the valve unions for weeps. Common Questions
Why fit a double convector at only 300mm high?
Where the height is limited, the extra panel and fins get more heat out of the same wall. A long, low Type 22 can replace a taller single panel.
Does a 300mm K2 stick far off the wall?
A Type 22 is the deepest of the panel types, so allow for the bracket depth plus the radiator itself.
Can I get spanners on the valves of such a low radiator?
Check before you set the tails. Valves sit near the floor and skirting, so dry fit them first.
