Where two pipe runs cross on the same level, the End Feed Part Crossover lifts one of them over the other. It has a cranked hump in the middle, so the pipe kinks up, passes over the other run and comes back down in line.
Using the End Feed Part Crossover
This is a common fitting on heating and hot and cold runs under floors, where flow and return pipes cross in a joist space. It is also handy on surface pipework, because it lets the pipes stay flat to the wall rather than packing one out on clips.
It is an End Feed fitting, so the solder is not built in. Clean and flux the pipe ends and the sockets, heat each joint and feed in wire solder until it runs round. A part crossover is normally socket by spigot, so its spigot end slides into another fitting. Check which way the hump faces before soldering.
