Ever Build Survey Line Yellow 700ml is an upside down marking spray for setting out on site, such as marking dig lines, fixing points or cable routes before drilling. Marks last around three months. Sold by Plumb Parts in Glasgow.
Ever Build Survey Line Yellow 700ml is a spray marking paint in a can that works upside down, so you can mark the ground or a wall at your feet without bending double. It’s semi permanent, and Everbuild state it lasts at least three months after spraying.
What it’s used for
Contractors and surveyors use it for spot marking: showing where to dig, marking the line of a trench, picking out holes and fixing positions, or noting where machines or posts are going. It’s also used on turf, in landscaping, and on excavation work. Everbuild list yellow as a general marking colour, but check the colour code your site or utility company uses. The paint has good covering power and sticks to most common surfaces, and you can spray it by hand or from an applicator.
Colour codes in the range
- White, yellow and orange: general marking
- Blue: water
- Red: electricity
- Green: cable work
- Black: covering old lines
Using it
Shake the can hard for two to three minutes once you hear the balls rattle. Take the cap off, turn the can upside down, and pull the nozzle towards the can with two fingers. If you stop for any length of time, clear the nozzle by turning the can nozzle up, pointing it away, and spraying for a second or two. Don’t use it if rain is due within two hours. Store it somewhere cool and frost free, as the shelf life is twelve months from manufacture. Find more in our line markers range.

Common Questions
How long does the yellow line stay visible?
Everbuild say at least three months after spraying, so it is a semi permanent mark. Weather and traffic wear it faster.
Which colour should I use over a water main?
Blue is the usual code for water. Yellow is a general marker, so check what colours your site or the utility company want.
Why will the can not spray?
It is made to spray upside down, so hold it nozzle down. If it still spits, clear the nozzle by turning the can the right way up and giving a short burst.
