FloPlast Ring Seal 135 Deg Bend Double Socket – SP563 110mm

For a 45 degree change of direction, the FloPlast Ring Seal 135 Deg Bend Double Socket SP563 has a Ring Seal socket at both ends. You feed a plain pipe end into each one.

Using the FloPlast Ring Seal 135 Deg Bend Double Socket SP563

Two of these make an offset to take a stack round an obstacle. A single one eases a soil pipe into a different line without the sharp turn of a 90. Gentle bends also make rodding easier if the stack ever blocks.

Because both ends are sockets, you need plain-ended pipe going into each. Cut the pipe square, chamfer it and lubricate it with silicone. Push fully home and ease back a little for expansion.

Clip the pipe close to the bend on both sides so the fitting does not take the weight of the stack.

On an outside stack, check the alignment from a distance before fixing the last clip, since a bend that is off true is easy to spot from the street.

Can you bend soil pipe itself? No, rigid PVC-U soil pipe shouldn’t be heated or forced into a curve. Use a moulded bend like this one to make the turn properly.
