FloPlast Ring Seal Solvent Boss Adapter – SP20 32mm

Basin wastes are usually 32mm, and the FloPlast Ring Seal Solvent Boss Adapter SP20 is how you bring one into a soil stack boss with a glued joint. It fits into a boss on a soil stack fitting and gives a 32mm socket for ABS waste pipe.

Connecting with the FloPlast Ring Seal Solvent Boss Adapter SP20

Bosses on boss pipes, strap bosses and some branches will take it. The connection to the waste is Solvent Weld, so it suits ABS solvent waste rather than Push-Fit pipe. If you want a joint that can come apart later, a rubber Push-Fit boss adaptor is the alternative.

Fix the adaptor into the boss as the instructions direct, keeping it square while it sets. Then glue the waste into it with solvent cement, push home and hold.

Basin runs into a stack are often short and steep, which can pull the water out of the trap. Keep the fall gentle and steady, and consider an anti-siphon trap on a tricky layout.

Check the joint with the basin full and emptying before boxing in.

What is a boss adaptor? It’s the fitting that takes your waste pipe into a boss connection on a soil pipe. The FloPlast SP20 lets a sink, basin, bath or shower waste join the stack.

How does the SP20 connect? It is a solvent weld adaptor: it is cemented into the boss and the 32mm waste pipe is cemented into it. For a push-fit joint FloPlast use the rubber boss adaptors instead.

How do I fit a boss adaptor? Solvent cement the adaptor into the boss, then solvent weld your waste pipe into the adaptor. Make sure the pipe is cut square and clean before cementing.
