Using the FloPlast Universal Compression Chrome Style Coupling

Wall-hung basins and open pedestals leave the waste in plain sight. A white coupler in the middle of a chrome run looks like an afterthought. This one matches chrome style traps, bends and clips, so the run looks planned.

Cut the pipe square and smooth off any burr so it does not cut the seal. Put the nut and seal over the pipe, push it home against the stop and wind the nut on by hand. A gentle extra nip with a cloth round it is enough; grips will scratch the finish.

Because there is no glue, the joint can be undone if the basin is ever changed. Clip the pipe either side so it stays straight.
